wow... again... It's valentine's day.... 14th february... technically it's my 20th one... and it's been the same all along... well, i'm still staying single this year... and doesn't feel any despair because of it... (i'm not tryin' to be strong heree... =P) ofcourse MAYBE it will be nice if I have a special someone (in romatic way) but I do still feel comfortable with my condition being single.. and lately I kinda imagine how would it be if I have a boyfriend... and I thought it's gonna be waaayyy toooo strange.... =P (or I just haven't met the one)
anyway, enough talking about "romance". I'm today writing this post not to talk about this things.... ow! anyway... I'm currently back in my hometown, Jakarta FYI. It's my fourth day today, and i will still stay here for quite a long while.
Actually, I wrote this post juz because I suddenly recall my childhood memory... I heard a jingle of my bell house which unexpectedly striked me and made me remember my childhood...
how time flies... I juz met my dearest and most important friends yesterday... I realized how much we've changed... how much our environment different now... it felt quite strange since we're suppose to be in the same school.... and know almost evrythin that happened in our lives... yet, we can't stop the time and we can't go back to the past (it's juz curently physically imposibble) I quite often miss my own past juz by hearing old songs.... and think what I did when I heard this exactly same song before...
It's strange to think that I was a junior high student for a time, and I'm now a university student. so much changes but It is still me. I couldn't say I'm still "the same old me".
I always wonder wheter changes is good or not.... I do think that changes really made me grow more and more but in the same time I'm also sad since I couldn't ever going back. It's kinda hard to understand huh? =P (I juz can't explain it in a good way ^^;)
hmmm.... let me say... that I love listening to my friends stories about their live now... gathering and catching up together... but I also feel sad on the same time to face the fact that I'm not exactly there with them... and see evrything that happened to them.... or how easy we can call or contact each other without any hetitations that we might "interupting" them....
well, life has been different now... but I can say that I'm happy with my life now... I met a lot of good friends in Japan.... but honestly.... honestly... I sometimes feel kinda lonely... since now I haven't found anyone that I can call or contact or run anytime I want... (sounds so egoistic and so demanding eh?)
however it will be great if we can have someone like that.... juz one person that you can totally be yourself, who cares about you, someone who you can hang on to, and do/give the same thing to them....
If you feel that you have this kind of person.... you should be grateful!! REALLY grateful....
hmm... last word.... I would like to everybody know that....
I'm feeling trully blessed that I have friends that accept me as I am (with complete set of my annoyace) and don't judge me easily without knowing more....
I LOVE YOU very much
Happy Valentine's day.....
I hope we'll meet and can share the love again in the near future.... =)
XOXOXO
Cheryl

tommorow will be my last battle against the Finals... It will be ended at 14:25 sharp. I'll have bookkeeping II test tomorrow.... I know it suppose not to be that hard... but trust me! japanese ain't easy at all (ToT) *drowning in despair* I hope I'll do fine tommorow.... *prayin hard*
Today, early mornin' I had a mensetsu (=interview) at Osaka, and as I expected the mensetsu wasn't that hard... (Thank GOD!) it was rather "re-check" than an interview.... I was asked only about wheter the things that I wrote on the documents are true, and double check it... not bragging, but I guess I'll pass the test... YEAY!!!
after I finished my mensetsu I went back straight to Kyotanabe, preparing for my test today...
Luckily, it's not as hard as I thought... but I'm also not confident with my own answers... HAHA *those damn nasty kanjis!* well at least it's finished and i juz have one more test tomorrow....
tomorrow, I'll also have my stuff taken, since I'm moving out to my new crib @Kyoto.... *Screamin' cravin' for a visit* ;P (ayo yang di indo!!! kapan mo ngunjungin gwe di Jepun??? mumpung gwe masih disini nehh!!!)
fortunately, my sweet "big" sistah is comin to help me on monday! (^o^)V and then we'll go back together to Jakarta at 10th!!! (I suppose... still need reconfirmation from dad) I'll be stayin at my lovely hometown till March 23rd! (Finally! a long "relaxing" homecoming!!!)
too bad that I'll miss chinese new year.. (again... ToT anybody!!! gimme angpaoo!!!)
well, I guess I better start my study if I dun wanna fail... (ToT) so let's get started!!!
believe me,
I'll prevaill!!!!! (hope so...)
ciao,ciao!!
PS: juz please prayyyyyy....... prayyyyyyyyyy for meee!!!!!!!!!!! *beggin'*

Starting 2008
Weeeewwww.... hv'n update my blog for quite a long time... hahaha =P
hmm... I'll juz sum up things that I did.....
December 15th 07 - A day Trip To Miyajima with Indonesians
(FUN!!! full of laugh!! tiring but worth it!! I manage to spend below 5,000yen for this tip! (^o^)V
Winter Holiday - Went to Guangzhou, Shenzen, Macau wif fams! + New year @hometown
(Happy! Happy! Happy with family (it rhymes!) tears and laugh. so good to be back home. Juz met a dear friend this time... ^^;)
School - 2 weeks of hell before Finals + Stress bcoz of moving out
(presentations, homeworks, lose lots of qecheeng (ToT) etc)
Yeah... I know I travel a lot.... my friends teased me, saying that my schedule was juz like a Big star on World tour... haha =P well... I do enjoyed it... but the downside is I'm exhausted! (can't imagine life as a real Superstar)
Actually I'm on my Finals period now... but my next exam is on Friday... so have a tiny little time to relax... I still have to make summaries and pack all of my things... (I'm moving on the 3rd!)
So far... I guess I'm doing pretty well on my finals (and still have to keep it up!), at least better than last semester... *sigh* juz pray for the best =P
some good news!!
-I passed first selection for getting more greens per month for the next 2 years!!! still hav interview this friday though... *fingers crossed*
- since my interview is surprisingly early, I'll be back to Jakarta earlier! (around 11 feb maybe)
that's all I guess... no bad news.... (ehehe)
ow!!! can anybody give a movie recomendation??? need to stock up for holiday!! =P
sorry for the messy post...
gonna hibernate soon...

RACISM
Goshhh!!! I hateeeee deTEST ABHOR RACISM!!!! sorry if I'm being emotional ((((((>o<)))))
I just got judged and rejected (again) just because I'm an Indonesian! I don't want to swear or say anything bad about Japanese since I have lots of incredibly nice Japanese friends, and it will make me a hypocrite. =P I won't deny that I was really reaaalllyyyy mad treated like that and had an emotional moment for a while (sorry and thanks to my dad who already beared with me being emotional)
Well, It's not the first time I'm being discriminated. As you know, I'm Indonesian but not really Indonesian since I'm a chinese decendant.... I also can't say that I'm chinese.... because I'm not a chinese citizen and can't hardly speak in chinese (ok, I'm working on it!) Moreover, I have a German name which makes people think that my dad/mom/grandpa/ma is a German and make the chaos even worse... with this condition it's probably hard not to be misjudged... I won't blame anybody though, since I'm totally happy with who I am now =P
well, my fellows maybe we (will) experience(d) another same events regarding discrimination/racism... let's juz hope the best for those narrow minded people to open their mind....

Another week comes to an end....
It's finally fridayy!!! Another weekend... Thank God I don't have any classes on Saturday... *sigh* Last weekend I had a great time at Biwako retreat center with my chinese intensive class' classmates and my sensei.... We spend a night there, learning some chinese, eating good food, having nice talk, play pingpong and stroll (hike) around the retreat center....
I think I like my chinese class' member the most! (compare to my other classes) I have splendid teachers (Nawa sensei & Wang Laoshi) and fun classmates!! not to mention I met my first friend at Doshisha when I'm registering this class, whom now become my classmates yet my best friend. (^-^) and our meeting was rather a serendipity (she was reading Indonesian language conversation book and sit right next to me).
It’s such a shame that this class will come to an end pretty soon…. I guess I’ll miss the entire member and the atmosphere of the class… (alas, I can hardly say that most of my classes have sort of morbid atmosphere) I really wish that I can continue chinese class with the same member (which kinda impossible)
Well, I had damn fun weekends for the past two…. but I guess I need a holiday… (holiday here refers to a whole day staying at home not doing anything or particular activity, just relaxing or slacking around). Too bad, I won’t get it this week since I have to go to a seminar tomorrow and try to find a new place to live… (yeap! I’m planning to move out from Kyotanabe and search a new home somewhere near Imadegawa) and I have research paper to work on, a presentation to prepare, books to read, etc, etc, etc
It’s eleven and I’m awfully sleepy… dunno what’s the reason... anyway gnite!
PS : you can see pictures from my Chinese class’ gasshuku on my picasa (http://picasaweb.google.com/cherylize) there's some nice pictures of autumn in Japan

Suddenly L.A.
Haha! Finally got the time to write… It’s been a busy month and the next one might be even worse (ToT) but anyway, I end this month by visiting my cousin in L.A.
Actually, she’s the one who suppose to come here, to Kyoto, visiting me on her thanksgiving holiday. but it turned out that her air ticket was way too expensive. so she came out with a wacko idea, and asked me to come to her place instead.
Fortunately, I also had holiday on thanksgiving! (It’s not because we’re having thanksgiving in Japan, but there’s eve festival which is a big event in my school and it give us a whole week holiday (^o^)V). I took care the air ticket, visa, and re-entry permit, all in sudden. *sigh*
Well, my first thanksgiving was a blast! and L.A. is a great city! I hope I got a chance to visit there again soon or even try to live there for a while or longer. In this holiday, I got to meet and hang out with my cousin, my annoying sister that I really deeply love, and my friend who by chance live around L.A.
Thursday 22nd, my second day in LA (I arrived quite late so didn’t do anything on the first), I had my friend took me and my family around Santa Monica. First I thought it would be awkward having my friend hanging out with my family, but actually they get along pretty well (I think… I guess… I believe…) and made the day really fun! We had pretty nice lunch, good desert, and great time in the beach. After, I had my first thanksgiving dinner, complete with the turkey! And yeap it was a biggie… =P
Friday, we went shopping like crazy on ‘black Friday’ also, it was my first midnight~morning shopping! Hahaha… I think I’m not a big fan of shopping, except on sale season… LOL but ‘black Friday’ was crazy!! So many shoppers and some of them even camp in front of the shops!! It was fun… although queuing for the cashier can be frustrating! (2 hours!)
I also got a chance to watch a marvelous musical ‘wicked’ on Sunday, then went to a very nice garlic restaurant =)
On Monday, I used whole day to take 3 hip hop dance classes at millennium dance complex. It was so much FUN!!! It’s been a long time since the last time I took some dance classes…. Like… hmmm…. Ages… =P and finally got a time and great great teachers!! The last one was Shane sparks class. He’s a really cool guy, and really spread the “LOVE”…. Causing my back and shoulder aching for few days… but I’m all fine now =) all 3 classes that I attended were wonderful! Got a lot of lesson and fun =) =) =)
I end my trip in L.A. by watching cirque du soleil’s performance in Orange County called “CORTEO”. It was totally amazing amaZING AMAZING!!!!!!! It’s like we’re dreaming for 3 hours with our eyes wide open! True entertainment!!!! I think it will be reeeaalllyyy hard to find a better performance. *cheers to my sis*
I left L.A. for Kyoto on Wednesday morning (L.A. time). In conclusion, I got a terrific holiday! got away from daily business…. =P I really like L.A. and hope I can go there again next year…. (hopefully next summer, but I might go to other place…)
Ok, I have to pack up, get ready and go for my Chinese Class’ camp on Biwako retreat center. My sensei promised us some fancy French full course! Hehehe… =)
Toods!!!
